Look And See!

As time moves along, each New Year comes with many unknowns that aim to stir worry in our hearts. It carries a sense of fear because we don't know what's coming next. We wonder, will this finally be my year? Will I achieve this goal this year? The list of questions can just go on and on. In the midst of it all, God gives us a beautiful reminder through His word that we can look and see the beauty of this New Year too. Some may wonder how or you may even look around and still see a bunch of mess from the previous year, but as Christians, we are asked to look by faith! 2 Corinthians 5:7 declares that we should walk by faith and not by sight.

Walking by faith requires us to keep God and prayer at the forefront of our lives; by doing so, we allow the holy spirit to continue to lead us through the highs and lows of life. We can be confident in what we've already seen by faith. By faith, we saw Jesus raise Lazarus from the dead. By faith, we declared that Jesus was raised from the dead, and God can even raise our dead situations. God is so faithful and just that even when we can't see him working in our own lives, we can see him working in the lives of others.

This past week we saw what the power of prayer can do as a nation! A nation joined together to pray for Damar Hamlin. Look and see the providence of God when we keep Him and prayer at the center of our lives. Looking at the outcome, we see that when we allow God to get His glory out of our lives, He'll, In return, give us an outpour of blessings. The real question we should ask ourselves is, are we allowing God to get His glory out of our lives?

After reading this, you might still question your circumstances, but I hope you can look by faith and see all the good that God is doing and will do for us if we allow Him to get his glory. We saw it first by faith, and I pray you to see it with your eyes this year.
