Breakthrough to You!

Spring is an amazing time of the year. It’s time we get to watch the restoration of nature. It’s a magical time. You watch and see what was dead spring back to life. The trees begin to bud, the flowers bloom, and the bees buzz. It’s this season when we not only watch nature get its breakthrough but where you can get your breakthrough too. It’s in the breakthrough that you get to you. It sounds crazy or somewhat cliche, I know. But it’s true! We’ve all been there before, and if you haven’t, then wait. There will come a point in life where either life circumstances or God himself will put a demand on the inside of you. It’s in that season when you can let it break you or Breakthrough to YOU!

Some moments in life take us to the brink of ourselves. It’s at that brink where we feel like throwing in the towel, where we want to call it quits with God and those close to us. We even get tired of ourselves. Most often than not, when life’s circumstances force us to that place, we want to run and hide. We become fearful, anxious, and depressed. The sleepless nights get longer, and I know the song says that joy comes in the morning, but life can take us to that point where we can’t even find joy in the morning.
In 1 Kings 19, Elijah finds himself in this place. He finds himself in a cave, depressed, waiting on the move of God. He's expecting a dramatic display of power, but instead, God speaks to him in a still, small voice. Have you ever found yourself waiting for a sudden change in your life, only to feel frustrated when it doesn't come? Perhaps you're waiting for a job opportunity, a relationship, or a breakthrough in a difficult situation. We all have moments when we're eager for change, but it's important to remember that God's plans for us are often subtle and not always sudden. The sudden move of God didn’t move Elijah but the subtle movement of God.
As women of faith, we can learn from Elijah's story that the breakthrough we are waiting for may not always come in the way or time we expect. We may be looking for the sudden, but God also works in the subtle moments of our lives. Those subtle moments can be a talk with a friend, a kind gesture from a stranger, or the calming reassurance we get from reading our bible. When we focus too much on our circumstances, we miss the gentle nudges of God's Spirit.
So, as we celebrate the new beginnings of Spring, let us also remember to be patient and attentive to the subtle moves of God. Let us trust He is working behind the scenes in ways we may not even notice. Just like the flowers, our breakthrough may not come all at once. It may come gradually, one bud at a time. But if we’re patient in this season, the subtle will turn suddenly, and it’ll look as if it happened overnight.
Once you break through to you, you’ll find yourself singing, “ I come to the garden alone, While the dew is still on the roses. And the voice I hear falling on my ear. The Son of God discloses.” And you can be sure that He walks with you, and He talks with you, And He tells you that you are His own, And you’ll find that the joy you share will be like none other has ever known.
