Planted for Purpose

Recently, I found myself living out a dream when the Lord asked me a question " Will you place it in my hands?" I had been running away from doing just that for months. Have you ever had a dream planted in your heart in hopes of it blossoming then having to uproot it, it surely feels like a betrayal. You begin to ask yourself all of the questions. Questions like what did I do? How did I deserve this? Where do I go now? Why did this happen to me?
Its in this season where we struggle to live out Proverbs 3:5 and surrender our seeds to the Lord. Surrendering feels like giving up, but when you change your perspective, it isn't giving up, but putting our plans back into the hands of God. We should trust and know that if we uproot our seeds and place them into the hands of God, then they have been potted in fruitful soil.
Trust that He only asked you to hand them over to be planted for purpose. It may feel like you've been buried, but you've actually received a covering. A covering, that keeps you protected and helps you move you into purpose. If left up to us, we would have settled on our seeds to have grown into a pretty garden; but God wants our seeds to be a beautiful green house. A green house to help others grow into who God called them to be; 2 Corinthians 1:4 reads, " who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
It's in the exchange where God toils the soil of our hearts to remove the hidden weeds and dead roots that we didn't see. He removes the seeds the enemy planted when we weren't looking and all that we were clinging onto. These seeds would have only grown into weeds that would have grown to strangle Gods plans and purpose for our lives.
How wonderful it is to know that God not only wants us to grow, but to be fruitful! It's only when
we grow fruitful that we can be a resource for others, to help them heal and grow.
How to stay planted for purpose: 1. Leave your seeds in the hands of God. - 1 Peter 5:7 "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."
2. Let God prune and pluck as you grow. - John 15:2 "He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful."
3. Stay connected to the source! - John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
4. Refuse to believe the enemy's lies. The BEST has yet to come! - 2 Corinthians 10:5 "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."
If you stay planted soon, you'll see His purpose for your life. You'll see that this season was just a reset you needed to be able to grow into the new soil that He toiled just for you.
What are you planting this season? What are you hoping God for?
